My 8-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son are leaving this world a better place. Our youngest son a six-year-old boy, Toby was diagnosed with celiac disease. He has a service dog that detects gluten for him, Toby’s disability takes up a lot of our brain space and time around our house. It would be easy for my older kids to become bitter or frustrated at the amount of attention their sibling gets. Instead, they surround their little brother, lift him up, protect him and encourage him to be strong and courageous (Deut 3). I could not be more proud of all of my kids, but seeing the way my older children love their younger brother melts my heart every single time.
